Rum is in the final stages of editing, meaning I’m now awaiting the proof copy. I’m hoping to have it up and for sale before the end of March. I will of course post links on the website when it is ready. In the mean time there is always the first chapter to peruse.
Another finally! The Chapter 1 of Rum is up on the website. I can’t say when it’ll be up for sale, but it’s a start.
Other than that, I continue writing on what comes next. I admit it’s been difficult keeping a schedule, but there are days when the writing flows and days where I just stare at the screen. I suppose such is life for all who write, but then maybe not. I guess that’s one very good reason I’ve chosen to self-publish.
FINALLY!! I have updated the website. It should have been done some time ago, but the move really disorganized things. So with the update, Chapter 7 of PubWair is now up. Also before it in the queue is another Bonus Scene. Hope you enjoy.
Still working on editing Rum. I have started his brother’s book while Rum is being read through and am keeping my fingers crossed that his story stays on schedule…if life lets me.
I wish to apologize profusely. I haven’t been able to update the website since moving at the beginning of the month to Arizona. All website related data is located on my desktop computer and all that I have available is my laptop. I’m hoping soon to have my desk and computer up so that I might actually update. Chapter 7 of PubWair is ready to be uploaded, but again, I am unable to do so. If my desktop unit is not set up reasonably soon, I will find another way to take care of the upload.
In other news. Rum is now in the editing phase. I finished writing it right before the move, but the move pushed the start of editing back. I’m hoping to have the book up before the end of the year. Fingers crossed. If I’m lucky, I’ll have Ch1 up for perusal. I know I’ve been promising that, but life sometimes gets in the way of these things.
Sigh. Writing is slightly behind schedule at the moment. We’re moving at the end of the month, so most energy is being put towards that at the moment. I strive to get in at least a few words each day though, hoping that it keeps the various threads of the story from getting lost in the void.
I am closing in on the end of Rum. I have my fingers crossed that I finish sooner rather than later so that the editing process can begin.
Also, Ch6 of PubWair is up. In the next couple of weeks I’ll be adding another Bonus Scene, then Chapter 7. Hopefully.
I don’t think short story was exactly the right wording to use. Still working on Rum, but it’s proving to be more than I originally bargained for. The characters have more of story to tell than I thought. Granted it won’t be as long as Rayn Storm, but it could reach the length of Golden Boots. All I can do is write it and see where it goes.
That’s not to say writing it, isn’t interesting. I’m meeting/learning about a few more members of Golden Boots’ (Kino) rather large family in this story. The High Keeper makes an appearance, as does Chastain, the Watcher Commandant of Ganos, and his daughter, Ilora. She also makes an appearance in Jayd Lightning. Despite its being pushed back, I am still working on Jayd.
Speaking of Jayd Lightning, it’s filling out much better now than before. It wasn’t meant to be a three-way. As it turns out, Jayd wasn’t the sort of pirate to share his lovers, man or woman. And Princess Sari is just as strong minded and strong willed as Jayd. The third party, Ghost Demon, will be getting his own story as his participation in Jayd Lightning takes a drastic detour.
Also, I’m considering serializing PubWair. It seems to be that kind of story. Just need to work out a few more details in regards to this notion. Which means hopefully the first chapter will be up soon.
Rayn Storm is now available on Kindle.
So I’ve been working on a short story (please let it be a short story) instead of Jayd Lightning. I know where JL is going, but this story popped into my head and demanded to be written first. That it actually takes place before JL and introduces some of the characters in JL, I decided to not fight it.
There will actually be two short stories since it deals with twin brothers, but at the moment I’m only working on the younger of the twins.
The title is still undecided. Hopefully it comes to me soon.
Sigh.
As you can see by the title of this post, it’s an update regarding Jayd Lightning. It’s coming along, but it’s suffered more set backs.
I spoke of keeping control of three characters and well, for this story, it turns out that three is a crowd. I’ve been wracking my brains how to make them work together, but I’ve been unable to get the characters to cooperating without force or a story filled with WTFery.
The thing is, the chemistry isn’t there for a happy threesome, at least not for these characters. If I force the story, the story suffers. I can plot and scheme all I want, but if the story isn’t, and the characters aren’t being true, then it’s gonna be crap.
So, I’ve decided to make the story about Jayd and Sari as they seem to be the most drawn together. Ghost will have his own story—it’s already playing out in my mind. I do hope to someday have a happy threesomes story, just not this one.
Other updates. PubWair draws closer to it’s conclusion. Future Darhè Novels are in the works – both M/M and M/F. Bastan’s story will be told soon. I have plans for both Koal’s and Basyl’s stories. Master Bent Styk will receive a story, so too will Silver Midnight. There will also be stories for some of the characters met in Jayd Lightning.
Heh, sometimes I wonder where I fit within my mind for all the stories and characters floating around.
That’s it for now.
Just thought I would let everyone know that Rayn Storm is now an ebook.
